Paris, Je t’aime est magnifique!

Yesterday I was privileged -and quick- enough to see an advance screening of Paris, Je t’aime…thank you Anna! I didn’t know anything about it until that day when I decided to IMDB it. With a bit of background and tickets in hand (and snacks hidden away in my bag) I was ready to watch this loveable, romantic comedy/drama about the different types of love in the city of love…Paris of course. I highly recommend this movie…..it’s a collection of short stories ranging from 5 to 15 minutes, created by 18 directors, each portraying a different dynamic of love, from “disguised, revealed, imitate and sucked dry to reinvented and awakened”….nothing is spared. After the screening a beverage was in order to discuss our favourite and least favourtite ones….

Comes to the big screen in London June 22 and I think it’s already out in Canada (May 4th)

Are You Always Late?

This morning I was late, yet again, for work…twice this week and it’s only Tuesday! My excuses have been train delays, don’t get me wrong this usually is the case - except that time I lost my Oyster Pass and then there’s the time I forgot my running shoes and had to go back. Anyway, that’s not my point, what I’m trying to get at is I wish I sometimes had a better reason…even I’m getting bored with my apologizes . So I did a little research and came across CNN’s top 10 weirdest excuses:

1. I dreamed that I was fired, so I didn't bother to get out of bed.

2. I had to take my cat to the dentist.

3. I went all the way to the office and realized I was still in my pajamas and had to go home to change.

4. I saw that you weren't in the office, so I went out looking for you.

5. I couldn't find the right tie, so I had to wait for the stores to open so I could buy one.

6. My son tried to flush our ferret down the toilet and I needed to tend to the ferret.

7. I ran over a goat.

8. I stopped for a bagel sandwich, the store was robbed and the police required everyone to stay for questioning.
-this actually could have happened

9. A bee flew in my car and attacked me and I had to pull over.
-this has happened to me and it’s damn frightening

10. I wet my pants and went home to change.

Here are some more

Cheers to planning your next trady behaviour!

For those you that know me, you know I love a good sneeze. In fact, I usually sneeze once a day in sets of 3…without fail. Check out this video…I’m not alone

What Were They Thinking?

I’m sorry to have to post this but to be honest I can’t help myself and it is above all my blog (sorry folks!).

Yesterday the 2012 Olympic Games’ logo was unveiled in London to everyone’s surprise. Have a look….what the crap is this? I can’t even read what it says (2012)…they come in different colours as well (electric blue, vibrant green…). How does this “symbolizes the dynamic Olympic spirit and its inspirational ability to reach out to people all over the world" as the Organizers suggest? Can some please explain this?

In contrast, take a look at Vancouver’s Olympic logos for the 2010 games… now that's better!

Bare It All In The Name Of Art

Spencer Tunick is one man who doesn’t squirm at the sight of a penis instead he uses the naked body as an art form; and public space as his backdrop. With male and female volunteers of different ages, Tunick sets out to challenge our opinions of nudity and privacy.

His latest creations include taking over Zocalo square in Mexico City, setting a new record with 18,000 nudies…

And Amsterdam this past weekend…check out this car park

Don’t forget about the Little Ones

The next time you’re hosting a party make sure to stock up on beer for the youngsters (?!?)…well you could if you lived in Japan anyway.

The Sangaria Company has created fake alcoholic drinks for kids…don’t worry there’s a wide range of products to suite everyone’s tastes from beer and wine to champagne and cocktails that everyone is bound to have a good time.

Check out the advert…don’t you just love how happy everyone looks sipping their apple flavoured “beer”? It even comes in a six pack....leave it to the Japanese to think of everything!!

All this talk of beer has made me thirsty!
