Lykke Li is exploding on the music scene here in London (and I’m sure in Toronto as well) with her debut album Youth Novels. Her voice might sound familiar to some, as she lent her vocals to Peter Bjorn and John’s ‘Young Folks’ a classic hit. I was lucky enough to check her out at the Rough Trade Record Shop for a promo gig….Only one word can describe that set: AMAZING!! I hadn’t listened to the album before the show but quickly became a fan – her great voice and catchy sounds had me hooked. I highly recommend a listen…oh and check out the very creative video for ‘I’m Good, I’m Gone’

Mainly becuase I still want to share what I find intriguing, fascinating or just plain weird - things I'd normally 'advertise', as my good friend would say - even though I'm across the Atlantic. This way when I call, we can talk about more important things....like, um, my hair!!
